>> What do I need to use eLabJournal in my lab?
eLabJournal is offered as Software as a Service. No hardware investments or overhead for system maintanance is required and you will receive all updates automatically. Simply get an eLabJournal license for your lab and you can instantly access eLabJournal via your internet browser without furher installation.

>> Who can use eLabJournal?
Because of the high flexibility, eLabJournal is suitable for any laboratory environment. Our clients include pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, medical diagnostics laboratories as well as academic reseach laboratories.
>> How can I start using eLabJournal?
If you are affiliated to an academic or non-profit organization, you can register here for a FREE trial license. If you are commercial entitity, please contact us for a trial account or a full product demonstration.
>> I have a trial license and I want to upgrade to an Standard or GLP license, do I lose my stored data?
No, upgrading your free license will not affect any of the settings in your current eLabJournal account. Upgrading will only remove the limit to the number of studies and experiments you can create.
>> Why do I need to register with my institutional email address to register for a free trial License?
You need to register with the email address of your institute to verify that you are a user that is affilated to an academic or non-profit organization.
>> Why is my institutional email address not recognized?
We have many institutes in our database, but some may have slipped through causing your email address not to be recognized. Please contact us to enroll your institute.
>> I am registered for eLabProtocols or eLabInventory, do I need to register again to access eLabJournal?
No, if you have registered for any of our separate eLabJournal modules, eLabProtocols or eLabInventory, you can sign in by entering your email address and password here.
>> I forgot my password, how can I get a new password?
You may request a new password here to receive a link into your mailbox for resetting your password.
>> How can I close my account?
Please contact us to close your account. Prior to closing your acount you can export your data as a PDF or Excel
>> How many experiments and studies can I store in eLabJournal?
During your trial period, you can store up to 50 experiments. Upgrade here to a Standard or GLP license to organize all data in the lab
>> What do I need to use eLabJournal in my lab?
eLabJournal is a web-based software provided as a service (SaaS) that is accesible via any internet browser on any computer. Thus, implementing eLabJournal in your laboratory does not require additional infrastructure, local software installation and maintenance.. However, we also offer local hosting solution. >> Can I use eLabJournal to collaborate with others inside our outside the lab?
Yes, you can create a working group and invite or add all members that wishes to collaborate. From there on, members can work jointly on experiments and easily share data amonst each other.
>> Is my data safe in eLabJournal?
Yes, your data is securely stored in our high-availability and redundant webcluster. In addition, we have an Extended Validation SSL Certficate to guarantee the secured and encryted transfer of data from and to the designated eLabJournal servers. Read more about our facilities. If needed, we also offer in-house hosting solutions if your local policies prohibits storing data remotely. Contact us for more information
>> Can I export my data from eLabjournal?
Yes, you can export your data at any time from eLabJournal as a PDF or to Excel. For very specific situations, we do offer custom migration to and from our software.
>> Is my personal profile and account information visible on the internet?
No, your personal information is not publically accessible unless you change the sharing settings in your profile. The only information publically visible is your name and the name of the institute and country you work. This information is required to identify yourself on eLabJournal.
>> Can I use my Ipad to access eLabJournal?
Yes, use the webbrowser of your Ipad to login on eLabjournal, we have made sure everything works out of the box. We are currently developing an App to view and and store experiments more natively on your iPad, iPhone or Android Phone.
>> Is eLabJournal compliant with GLP guidelines?
Yes, eLabJournal has been developed according to the guidlines for Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). With a eLabJournal GLP license all system actions are available in transaction logs.
