Quantity thresholds can be set for individual samples (Note: this feature is distinct from setting thresholds on a sample series). When the quantity of a sample falls below its threshold one of the following actions can be executed


  • add to shopping list - sample is added to the shopping list as a pending order
  • notify the sample owner - the sample owner receives a notification
  • add to shopping list and notify the sample owner - sample is added to the shopping list as a pending order and the sample owner receives a notification.


To set a threshold to a sample, make sure to link a sample to a product in the Catalogue first. To set a threshold on a sample, choose a sample and select Edit.




Click Edit quantity to open the window in which the threshold can be set.







Select the check box Enable quantity threshold alert.




In the appeared options, you can set the threshold percentage (the percentage below which the threshold is reached) and the action that is executed when the quantity falls below threshold.

Click save to set the threshold.
