To enable the automatic ordering of chemicals and consumables in your lab, you can link products in the lab product catalogue to samples stored in the lab inventory. As soon as a sample falls below a set threshold the associated product in the product catalog can automatically be placed on the shopping list for reordering. 


To link a catalogue product to a sample, navigate to sample information sheet and click Edit.




Click Add Quantity to set the sample quantity settings




Next click Link Catalog Item.




In the appeared window you can search and select the product to be linked in the product catalogue. Note that if you want to link a product, in the product catalog, to a sample, you should first add this product to the product catalog. 

 



Once the item is selected, it is linked to the sample. Click Save to store. Items in the product catalogue can be unlinked by clicking the 'X'




Alternatively, you can also link the product when clicking Order Sample.




In the appeared window you can search and select the product to be linked in the product catalogue. Click Add Order so that the order will be visible in Pending Orders.
