The displayed sample table in the Sample List displays the following default columns: Sample Name, Sample Owner, Sample Type, Storage Location and Creation Date. To customize the data of samples displayed in the Sample List you can customize the Sample View.  In the Views dropdown menu select the option Edit this View.

In the appeared pop-up menu all available sample fields including the custom fields defined in the sample types are available. Select a column in the left panel and use the arrows to move fields to Table Columns panel on the right-hand side. In this way, you can also remove standard columns and replace them by any of the custom fields. Note that sample fields with the same name used in multiple sample types are grouped and automatically displayed in the same column.

In addition to selecting the fields that should be displayed in the Sample List by selecting them to the right-hand side panel, you change the following settings:

  • Order of fields - change the order of the displayed columns in the table by moving fields up and down using the arrows
  • Sort Column - set on which column data should be sorted by default in the Sample List 
  • Sorting Order - set the sorting order of the sort column to ascending or descending

Once you have chosen your preferred displayed columns, click Apply or Apply and Save and the table in the Sample List will be displayed with the selected columns and chosen sorting order.  

You can further customize your Sample Views by setting or changing the Quick Filters. Click the Save icon to update the custom view. In the Sample Views drop-down menu, you also find the options to delete, update the last selected sample views. Note that custom Sample Views are currently available for samples displayed in the Sample List and the Sample Series information sheet. Changing the sample views in the Inventory Browser or Advanced Search is not yet possible.

To sort samples using a custom column in a custom view click the column name. 

To increase the page size up to 200 samples select Page size 200 in the drop-down menu.
